New Improved Helmet Design - 1st February 2011.
Lynx Avionics has announced significant improvements to the design of
its aviation helmets.
Lynx helmets now have an outer shell of high impact Polycarbonate and
an internal trauma liner made from a combination of Polystyrene and
Viscoelastic Polyurethane Foam (Memory Foam). The new trauma liner
moulds to the shape of the user's head, which makes the helmets very
comfortable, whilst the composite design of the liner maintains full
impact protection.
In addition, the collar padding has been redesigned to prevent helmets
tilting forward when used with flying suits that also have a large
collar. The helmet side straps are also longer to allow the helmet to
fit over a headset more easily.
These latest improvements combine to make Lynx flying helmets the most
comfortable and user friendly on the market.
Lynx Avionics helmets are CE marked and certified against the European
Standard EN966:1996 'Helmets for Airborne Sports'.
